Knowledgeable professional team. The doctor did a great job explaining the possible causes, treatment options, provided a second opinion on the diagnostics that were done elsewhere (was much more empathetic and detailed) and also was kind enough to explain everything twice. I did not feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. The tech was also very empathic and understanding. The receptionist went over the medications and instructions with me, made sure I understood everything before leaving. I unfortunately had to put down my baby a couple days after (stage 4 kidney disease) and even as horrible as it was, they were kind and supportive. The memorial package was delivered to the facility within 5 days. Picked up without any issues.

I have been bringing my Shih Tzu to this veterinarian office in Middletown for almost 10 years, and after what happened this past Saturday, I will never return. When I dropped my dog off, I clearly explained to the staff that I would not be able to pick him up until around 6 PM because I had to work. I was told this would not be a problem and that he would remain on the medical side until I arrived. I arrived at approximately 5:55 PM and found the doors locked. I repeatedly rang the bell, called multiple times, knocked loudly, and waited outside for nearly 30 minutes with absolutely no response. After seeing several employee vehicles still in the parking lot, I finally began honking my horn just to get someone’s attention because I was desperate to retrieve my dog. An employee eventually came outside and questioned why I was honking. I explained that I had been trying to reach someone for nearly an hour. Instead of showing concern or apologizing, I was told to “calm down,” and the employee locked the door again. I was forced to leave without my dog and ultimately had to involve the state police in order to retrieve him later. The entire experience was traumatic, stressful, and completely unacceptable for both me and my dog. After nearly a decade as a loyal client, the lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion shown was shocking. I have since received an email stating I am no longer welcome there, which is fine because I would never trust this establishment with my dog again. I would strongly encourage pet owners to carefully consider where they take their animals for care.

Great service knowledgable staff after hours was only way to get seen that day and no one was made to feel like it was a bad experience.The pup is doing much better now
